What is Photo Werewolf? Who's lying?

The theme: "A place you remember." Four players each shared a photo and said a few words about it. But the werewolves' photos were secretly swapped with each other.

How a game goes

One theme for everyone, about ten minutes a game. The twist: only the werewolves' photos get swapped.

    Pick a theme

    “A place you remember”, “the best thing you ate lately” — one theme for the whole group. Everyone gets the same theme.

    Share a photo

    Choose one photo from your camera roll that fits the theme. Once everyone has submitted, the game moves on.

    The secret swap

    Only the werewolves' photos are swapped among the werewolves. Each werewolf now has to present a photo they never chose as their own.

    There are either no werewolves or two or more. With none, nothing is swapped — a peaceful village.

    Tell the story, spot the lie

    Everyone explains “why this photo?”. The werewolves are describing a photo they didn't pick, so their story goes vague. That's where you dig in.

    Vote, then reveal

    Vote for the most suspicious player. If the player with the most votes is a werewolf, the villagers win. The reveal is a second round of fun.
