What is Photo Werewolf?

Photo Werewolf is a werewolf game for 3-10 people that can be played in just 10 minutes. All you need is each participant's smartphone. In one round of discussion, villagers aim to find the werewolf and eliminate them through voting.

  • Villagers

    Talk about the photo you chose, in your own words.

  • Werewolves

    Talk about someone else's swapped-in photo as if it were yours.

  • Discussion

    One round. Whose story sounds off?

  • Vote

    If the player with the most votes is a werewolf, the villagers win.

Themes never run out

The host types the theme, so you can invent as many as you like. If nothing comes to mind, there are 100 ready-made ones to borrow.

Got to play “Photo Werewolf” by 8chome Games @photowerewolf today. Everyone shares a photo and presents it, but the werewolves' photos have been swapped — so hang whoever is saying something odd! Our village ended up completely consumed by paranoia. #BBox2026春
@GekidanQuestion
Photo Werewolf by 8chome Games @photowerewolf A werewolf game where you pull a photo from your own camera roll to match a theme like “a place you remember” 📸 The werewolf talks about someone else's swapped-in photo as if it were their own 😂 Looked like it would liven things up even in a spare moment, and like it would bring people closer!
@HayaiGorilla
Title: Photo Werewolf Everyone submits a photo that fits the theme, and each person explains their own The werewolf's photo is swapped with someone else's, so they have to bluff A werewolf game that doesn't turn sour — looks good for getting to know people

#EJPボドゲ相互PR会 “Photo Werewolf” by 8chome Games You show everyone a photo from your camera roll that fits the theme and talk about the memory. But the werewolf team looks at someone else's photo and just improvises — a seriously fun hidden-role game. Amazing how smoothly everyone comes out with such convincing lies 😅 Gamers, of course 🤣
@aboooooooch
8chome Games @photowerewolf “Photo Werewolf” A werewolf game using the photos on your phone. Each person picks one photo that fits the theme and talks about it, but the werewolf's photo is swapped, so they have to act natural about a photo they've never seen. I was the werewolf and talked about a soft-serve I knew nothing about — caught instantly 😭
@jasmenoroom
Photo Werewolf (@photowerewolf ) You pick a photo from your own phone library that fits the chosen theme and tell the story behind it. The werewolf is automatically handed someone else's photo, so they have to improvise and not get caught! Everyone was so good at being the werewolf that I honestly couldn't tell — this is fun 😆

@photowerewolf #写真人狼 Hidden identity (digital) Pick a photo that fits the theme from your own phone folder Villagers explain their photo. The werewolf is handed another player's photo, so they act as if they had chosen it themselves A party-style werewolf game — there are a lot of werewolves, so it's easy to jump into 🐺 *The photo shown is the expansion
@waltzfor_d_b
“Photo Werewolf” @photowerewolf Upload a photo that fits the theme to the app, then smoke out the werewolf through conversation 🐺 You naturally get to hear everyone's stories, so it works as an icebreaker too!! The great part is you can try it again and again with different people and different themes! 🎉

#EJPボドゲ相互PR会 “Photo Werewolf” A game where everyone's phone photos get swapped and you bluff your way through! It looks like a hidden-role game, but the heart of it is spinning a convincing tall tale about someone else's photo — that was the fun part. Impressive that they built an app for it too!
