No booth at Game Market 2026 Autumn — play online instead

Photo Werewolf will not have a booth at Game Market 2026 Autumn.

We ran one in autumn 2025 and again in spring 2026, so this is for anyone planning to look for us on the floor. We are sitting this one out and spent the time on the online side instead.

The game looks quite different from the build you tried in spring. Nothing to install, so you can open it on the train either way.

The whole interface was rebuilt

Every screen now sits around a campfire at night. Recruiting, the theme, photos, roles, discussion, voting and the result all happen in one place.

Photo Werewolf discussion screen. Five players' photos are tiled below the theme, with a ring timer in the top right
The discussion screen. Everyone's photos sit side by side, so the talking starts from why each one was picked

The bar along the top — recruiting, theme, photo, role, discussion, vote, result — stays visible the whole way through. First-timers can see how much is left.

You can put the game on a big screen

Open one URL on a PC and the theme, everyone’s photos and the time left land on a single screen. Plug into a projector, or share it over Zoom or Discord.

Screen mode discussion view on a large display. Four photos are shown large below the theme, with the remaining time in the top right
Opened on a PC. This view goes straight onto a projector or a screen share

Roles, and the screen where players pick a photo, stay on each phone. Neither reaches the big screen, so it is safe to stream. There is more in the screen mode announcement.

The result now arrives in three beats

After the vote, the game shows who was executed, then the day-or-night artwork, then who won. Everyone watches the same screen and gets a moment before the answer lands.

A game can leave one image behind

Screen mode finish view. A memory image with the theme and five photos on the left, and a QR code for the site on the right

The memory image collects the theme, everyone’s photos and who the werewolves were. You can now decide whether to generate it when you create a village, so you can turn it off for groups who would rather not keep the photos.

Getting started

Create a village and send the invite link

Make an account, create one village, and watch people arrive on the recruiting screen.

Pick one photo from your camera roll

Everyone gets the same theme. Find a shot in your camera roll that fits it.

Photo Werewolf photo submission screen. A hot air balloon photo has been chosen for the theme and all five players have submitted

Talk about the photos, then vote

Werewolves have their photos swapped with each other. The shot in front of you is one you never chose, and the game turns on whether you can talk about it without cracking.

See you online

There will be no Photo Werewolf booth at Game Market 2026 Autumn. The game itself is free in the browser, with nothing to install.

Good for the after-party once the new boxes are open, or for the ride home.
